Increase Services

This is a simple no-brainer. Right now, and for several years to come, owners are going to get squeezed. Investors' margins are in jeopardy by the combination of assessments and the upcoming development project next door. Residential owners are facing the highest expenses in years. Yet our amenities have remained stagnant.

Since moving here, considering the 24-hour security, the cameras in both facilities, I still scratch my head at the limited hours on our few amenities - namely the gym and laundry room. New York is a 24-hour city, but for some reason, we only live in an 18-hour building.

Perhaps this is selfish of me, since I work late, but I would love the ability to do my laundry and work out when I get home.

I am sure there are plenty of times other residents have had reasons to do laundry in the middle of the night - sick kids, odd schedule, a catastrophic spill, and so forth. I can't imagine I'm the only one who likes working out after work too, but works late hours.

Considering we are all paying more now, and investors will need every possible edge in keeping their property competitive, there is no reason to keep these archaic time restraints on amenities services. Our investors' need to offer compelling reasons for people to continue renting at Shore Towers in the coming years, and our resident owners would certainly appreciate the improved services that are truly there for their use. Regardless the time of day.
